Heart Disease

Did you know that Heart disease is the first leading cause of death in the US?? About 659,000 people in the United States die from heart disease each year.

That’s 1 in 4 people.

1 in 4!

A lot of younger people ignore these facts because what do they have to worry about?! They’re young, it won’t affect them.

WRONG.

You are setting yourself up for failure when you neglect your health at a young age.

Your heart is a muscle. You have to constantly take care of that muscle in order for it to take care of you (like pump & keep you alive!)

For example, when you’re at the gym & you are working towards being able to do 10 pull ups, you aren’t able to just magically do 10 pull ups (at least I can’t), you have to work for it. You also have to keep your technique in mind so you don’t hurt yourself.

  • First you begin by training with a tight band to support you.

  • Once you’re able to do that then you move to a looser band.

  • Once you’ve accomplished that then you can probably do one without a band.

This is called progress & you gain that progress over time when you work for it.

It’s the same thing with your heart. When you do things like eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly & etc, you’re training your heart to perform at its highest potential. Start training your heart now & reap the benefits later on when you’ll most likely need it.

I do want to also mention that heart disease is unfortunately something that can be in your genes regardless of how healthy you are.

At that point, the best you can do is stay on top of your health & make sure you are going to your scheduled doctors appointments.

If you made it this far, I appreciate you.

Let’s stay healthy together!

Thanks for reading.
